In the present scenario where there has been an increase in number of atrocities against women and children, Social Justice Department has initiated a new scheme called ‘Sradha’ which provides legal awareness to Department officials and Service providers. This scheme is aimed at building a recognizable community which can identify the rights of women & children and shed a ray of light on social responsibility to act against such atrocities.

As an effective strategy to combat such violence practical knowledge will be imparted to public about the basic legal rights and remedies provided under various women related legislations. As part of this initiative awareness classes would be provided to various Departmental officials, Service providers, Residential colleges, Youth clubs, Residents’ associations, Paralegal volunteers, Mahila Pradan Agents, Asha Workers and Saksharatha Preraks.
